Chicago Named One of the Best NFL Cities for Visiting Fans

Chicago has a long and prestigious football history

The study, conducted by BonusFinder.com, compared the 30 NFL stadiums and their home cities in nine categories, including the history and prestige of the team and stadium, the number of sports-related attractions, sports bars and gambling options, prices at the stadium, among others, to determine the ULTIMATE city for NFL fans on the road.

Here’s what makes Chicago the second best NFL city in the league:

  • Chicago took second place in the number of sports bars within a 5-mile radius, with visitors being able to choose from 58 bars.
  • Thanks to the city’s three other major league sports teams and the Chicago Sports Museum, Chicago placed third in the rankings for other sports-related activities
  • The Windy City also secured fourth place in the category for the prestige of the franchise, with Chicago Bears being the third oldest team in the NFL and having more players introduced to the Pro Football Hall of Fame than any other team (35)
  • Soldier Field secured second place in the category for the most iconic stadiums, scoring highest for being the oldest stadium still in use (1924), being the second most popular stadium in Instagram with nearly 260,000 hashtags and an average review score on three review sites (4.03 out of 5)
  • Chicago also placed high on its gambling opportunities, with visitors to the city able to choose from a wide selection of online casinos and sportsbooks, or paying a visit to the city’s eight brick-and-mortar casinos.

Fintan Costello, Managing Director of BonusFinder.com, said: “Chicago has a long and prestigious football history and the Bears’ fans are known for their passion for their club.
