Comcast to Open Xfinity Retail Store in Oak Brook

The Oak Brook location will be Xfinity's first location in Chicago's west suburbs.

Comcast will open its first Xfinity retail store in Chicago’s west suburbs later this summer in the Oak Brook Promenade shopping center at 3041 Butterfield Road, Suite 101.

The 5,000-square-foot space will be designed to give visitors hands-on demonstrations of Xfinity products and services, including cable TV, high-speed Internet, home phone services, home security and a home automation platform, according to a news release.

The store also will feature iPads and mobile devices visitors can use to explore Xfinity’s Android and iOS apps that allow customers to watch live TV and movies and to manage and monitor their homes while remotely.

Customers can also visit the store to pay bills, pick up and return equipment and get assistance from sales consultants, the news release stated.

“The Xfinity store gives us the opportunity to provide visitors first-hand demonstrations of our innovations in TV viewing, communications and accessing content at home and on the go, as well as the latest in home security and automation,” said John Crowley, Comcast’s Greater Chicago Region senior vice president, in a statement. “In addition, we’ll have comfortable seating areas so visitors can settle in and experience Xfinity products and services as though they’re in their own homes.”
