DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove Grade School District 58 recently received a donation of more than $12,000 from the Downers Grove Roadrunners Soccer Club to help it buy accessible playground equipment for preschoolers.

The funds come from the 2023 Grove Express 5K, which the soccer club helped present in November of 2022.

“As always, the Roadrunners Soccer Club’s generous support of District 58 is very much appreciated," District 58 Superintendent Dr. Kevin Russell said in a statement. Dr. Russell added, "The funds will be used to enhance playground equipment for our preschool students."
