DOWNERS GROVE, IL —Rod Russeau, who works as the director of technology and information services at Community High School District 99, recently received two awards at the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) conference.

Russeau, was honored with the organization's Impact 30 award for his innovative work at District 99 .The award is also given to those whom C0SN believes will have a lasting influence for the next 30 years.

In addition to this honor, Russeau was also selected as CoSN's Volunteer of the Year.

“Rod gives his time and expertise to our community, especially when addressing K-12 cybersecurity,” CoSN Chair Diane Doersch, CETL, said in a statement.

District 99 Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele added, “We are proud that Rod has received these prestigious national awards, and it comes as no surprise to us." Thiele also called Russeau a "tremendous leader who has made a lasting positive impact on District 99."

Russeau began his career at District 99 in 1996 and is set to retire at the end of the 2022-23 school year.
