District 58 Retirees Honored During Luncheon
Seven retiring District 58 staff members were honored during a luncheon on May 19.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Seven staff members with hundreds of years of collective experience in education recently retired from Downers Grove Grade School District 58. The group, which includes administrators, instructors and other employees, was honored during a luncheon on May 19.
The 2023 District 58 retirees are:
- Matt Durbala, Principal of O'Neill Middle School (18 years)
- Rita Casper, instructional assistant at O'Neill Middle School (20 years)
- Jayne Yudzentis, Assistant Superintendent of Personnel at the District 58 office (22 years)
- Julie Snisko, instructional assistant at Kingsley Elementary School (22.9 years)
- Jane Ingersoll, speech language pathologist at Herrick Middle School (29 years)
- Maria Velez, Coordinator of Information Systems at the District 58 office (22.5 years)
- Deborah Stedman, ELA teacher at Herrick Middle School (24 years)
Retirement celebrations are always a bittersweet moment,” District 58 Superintendent Dr. Kevin Russell said in a statement. "While it is sad to lose such talent in our District, we are very excited for the retirees to begin their next chapter."
