District 58 To Welcome Incoming Superintendent With Open House
Kevin Russell will begin his role as superintendent on July 1.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove Grade School District 58 will hold a special open house May 13 to welcome its incoming superintendent, Kevin Russell. At the open house, parents and community members can enjoy light refreshments and meet Russell, who was hired in April to replace outgoing superintendent Kari Cremascoli.
The open house will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at Downers Grove Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave. The event will be followed by the regular school board meeting for District 58.
Russell, who has a doctorate in education, was hired after a nationwide search for a superintendent to fill Cremascoli's role. Russell started out as a social studies teacher at District 58's O'Neill Middle School before working in Community Consolidated School District 181 in Clarendon Hills.

He is currently closing out his role as superintendent of Chicago Ridge School District 127.5.
