District 99 Adds Assistant Superintendent Of Learning Resources
Dr. Travis McGuire will start as the assistant superintendent of learning resources at Community High School District 99.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — An assistant superintendent of learning resources has been hired for Community High School District 99.
Dr. Travis McGuire is set to start July 1, joining District 99 after 10 years as superintendent of Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD #429.
The district recently added the role to consolidate other positions, a news release said. In his role, McGuire will assume some responsibilities that had formerly been handled by director of technology Rod Russeau.

McGuire earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in music from Illinois State University before earning his master's degree and PhD from Western Illinois University, where he studied education administration.
Prior to starting as superintendent in Hinckley, McGuire taught math at LaSalle-Peru Township High School. He then went on to serve as an assistant principal and a high school and middle school principal.

“It is a privilege to be selected to serve in this new role for District 99. I am honored and humbled,” McGuire said in a statement.
He added, “I am extremely thankful to the students, staff, Board of Education, and communities of Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD #429 for their impact on my family both professionally and personally. I am excited to take the lessons I have learned and the skill sets that I have developed to help District 99 align resources with the end focus on maximizing student learning."
