District 99 Pizza Wars 2020 Set For Feb. 27
A total of eight pizzerias will face off to benefit local students and see who has the best pie in town.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The stage has been set for Community High School District 99's 2020 Pizza Wars. Eight pizzerias will vie to be chosen as the top pie in the area at the Feb. 27, which will benefit District 99 schools.
Here's a rundown of the pizza joints that will face off at Pizza Wars:
- Lou Malnati's Pizzeria
- Papa's Pizza Place
- Pizzeria 32 by Stavros
- Rosati's
- Sarpino's
- Skuddlebutts
- Tortorice's Pizzeria (2019 winner for "best overall")
- Zazzo's Bar & Restaurant
Vendors will bring at least 30 pizzas each for the event, which will be held in the Downers Grove South High School cafeteria fro 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets to sample and vote on slices are $15 at the door and $10 in advance.
