DOWNERS GROVE, IL — As the current new coronavirus outbreak puts personal protective equipment in short supply for medical personnel, Community High School District 99 is stepping up to help. The students donated the following items to the hospital:
- 30,000 nitrile gloves
- Four face respirators with 11 packages of OV/P100 cartridges
- A supply of indirect vented goggles from the science departments

In a statement, District 99 Superintendent Hank Thiele said, "We realized that everyday items in our reserves would be valuable on the front line, and reached out to our local partner Good Samaritan Hospital to arrange to donate the items.
