Donate Coats To Help Homeless Veterans This Season
The Village of Downers Grove is collecting gently used coats and winter accessories through Jan. 12.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove residents can clear up some space in their home and help out a good cause by donating winter coats and other cold-weather accessories to the village's coat drive. The coat drive, which runs through January 12, will benefit those in need through the Midwest Center for Homeless Veterans and Sharing Connections.
Residents can take their donations to drop-off boxes at the following locations:
- Downers Grove Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave.
- Downers Grove Police Station, 825 Burlington Ave.
- Downers Grove Public Works, 5101 Walnut Ave.
The village's coat drive is run by the Downers Grove VOICE Committee, a group made up of village employees who support humanitarian causes within the community.
