DoodleBug Expands to Serve Adult Day Program and HS Transition Groups

DoodleBug Workshop is inviting groups that serve people with special needs to come for a special two-hour session. The Workshop, based at 314 S. Main Street in Wheaton, welcomes men and women with special needs ages 16 to 60+ and teaches them to use tools to make decorative and practical products out of wood, resin and other materials.

In addition to regular weekly classes, DoodleBug Workshop now has a one-session program they are expanding for Adult Day Program and High School Transition groups. Participants create a unique product that they take home with them. Lunch and a stroll in downtown Wheaton can be included. Executive Director of DoodleBug Workshop Sarah Starke says: "What we offer is a fulfilling social experience in addition to the skill-building exercise. Everyone has a great time!"

The JCS Arts, Health and Education Fund of DuPage Foundation is supporting this program with a $5000 donation.
