Downers Grove 643 Hounds win Lisle Tournament
Downers Grove 643 Hounds win the 13U Lisle Memorial Baseball Tournament after winning 3 games against the three top seeds!

The 643 Hounds 13U team clinched the Championship after a back and forth game. In the 4th inning they were able to go ahead 5-4 and not go down again. The 8-5 victory over the Lincoln Way Blue Demons included 8 hits for the Hounds to the 5 hits for the Blue Demons. The Hounds started the weekend with a win the first game and came up just short during pool play against the Lisle Wolves losing 4-5 in a see saw game between the two clubs. Hounds entered the tournament play seeded 6th out of 12 teams.
After a win on Saturday, they were faced with beating the top 3 seeds of the tournament, Lincoln Way Blue Demons, Oswego Cobras and Downers Grove Fury, respectively on Sunday. Each game, the Hounds came out firing in the first inning collecting 18 hits in the first two games and keeping the opposing clubs to 10.
Every member of the team participated in the wins during one time or another, albeit with offense or defense. The last two games logged no errors for the Hounds in a day filled with solid baseball play! Congratulations to the Downers Grove/Darien kids which include, Rusty Johnston, Ryan Dennison, Brady Fraser, Matt Bolognia, Sean Ryniec, Freddie Kuhlman, Owen Karpeck, A.J. Fulscher, Andrew Tyson, Tommy Finley, Henry Wilson, and Justin Trott. The Hounds have been managed by Sean Osborne and coached by Scott Dennison and Jim Finley for the past 4 years.
