Downers Grove To Host Free Document Shredding Event

Villagers can bring up to two paper grocery bags or one banker's box full of documents.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- The village of Downers Grove has planned a community wide Paper Shredding Event to help residents safely get rid of old documents. The Paper Shredding Event will be held on April 13 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave.

Villagers can bring up to two brown paper grocery bags or one standard banker's box full of items per vehicle to be shredded at no cost. The documents will be shredded by representatives from Accurate Document Destruction who are bonded and insured.

In order to take advantage of this free service, villagers must bring proof that they are residents of Downers Grove.
