Downers Grove Man Charged After Talking Trash to Girls at Burger King

Disorderly conduct charges result from alleged verbal harassment.

A Downers Grove man was charged with disorderly conduct March 18 after allegedly verbally harassing a group of girls as they left Burger King, 7301 Lemont Road.

A woman stopped an officer on patrol about 5 p.m. to report that her daughter and friends were leaving the restaurant when Brian A. Nystrom, 34, began talking to them. The girls told police Nystrom said, “Hey, three sexy mamacitas” and “Are you Charlie’s Angels?” before asking if they attended Downers Grove South High School.

He also asked in Spanish if they wanted to go to the bathroom, saying “I have 10 inches, 10, 10—but don’t tell anyone,” the girls told police. He then left, riding away on a blue bicycle.

Other officers called to the area located the bicycle outside Old Navy. Nystrom was identified by the girls as he left that store and admitted talking to the girls, but told police he did nothing wrong. Nystrom then told police he was a repressed white man in an all-white town, used vulgarities and said he should have run when he saw the officers.
