Downers Grove Man Wins $75,000 On Scratch-Off Ticket
After winning $75,000, Brad Welter of Downers Grove and his wife plan to put the money toward buying a house.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Brad Welter of Downers Grove told the Illinois Lottery that his wife started to cry when she found out he won $75,000 on a scratch-off ticket. He added, "This is awesome!"
Welter bought the winning Ultimate Crossword ticket at a Mobil gas station at 1699 Landmeier Rd. in Elk Grove Village. The gas station will get $750 for selling the winning ticket.
According to a release from the Illinois lottery, $75,000 is one of the top prizes for the $25 Ultimate Crossword ticket, with $750,000 being the top prize. 17 of the $75,000 prizes are still unclaimed, as are two of the $750,000 prizes, so check any Ultimate crossword tickets you might have laying around!
