EQDG Unveils 'One Book, One Town' Events, Sets Date For Spring Soiree

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — EQuality Downers Grove (EQDG) has unveiled its list of events for the One Book, One Town program, which will kick off March 10. The program is set to run through April 19 and wrap up with a Spring Soiree celebration.

EQDG's One Book, One Town begins with Kate Fagan's "The Three Lives of Cate Kay." In it, Fagan explores struggles with identity and defining oneself, queer relationships and living authentically.

Throughout the month, readers can take part in discussions and interactive events that delve deeper into the novel's themes.

Book Discussion at Downers Grove Public Library

March 10 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Readers will meet at Downers Grove Public Library, 1050 Curtiss St., to engage in a group discussion of "The Three Lives Of Cate Kay." Click the link to register.

Coffee and Conversation at Morton Arboretum

March 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Attendees can snack on baked goods and sip coffee as they socialize and play games. Click the link to register.

Out of the Shadows: Queer Authors and the Cost of Being Heard

March 18 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Anderson's Bookshop, 5112 Main St., Downers Grove, will feature David Settje, Ph.D, leading sharing a program that touches on the challenges queer writers face in the publishing industry. Click the link to register.

March 20 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

YogaSix, 980 Warren Ave., Downers Grove, will host a "women-only" yoga class that encourages breathing and movement in a "supportive community," according to the event description. Click the link to register.

The Faces We Show: Mask Making and Identity

March 24 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
