Conducted by Dan Pasquale D’Andrea of Downers Grove, the Sinfonietta Bel Canto’s (SBC’s) May 15 concert represents the Season Finale for its Inaugural Season. The SBC’s Season Finale will feature guest soloist and Elgin resident Nazar Dzhuryn, cello (bio available on request) performing Robert Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor, op 129 (1850), one of the most beloved of all cello concertos. Also on the concert is Saint-Saën’s Symphony #2 in A-minor(1859), a work that pays tribute to Saint-Saën’s moniker as the “French Beethoven”. Schubert’s lovely rarely performed gem, his-Die Zwillingsbrüder Overture (1819), rounds out the program.
