Having to pick a favorite type of food may present a serious challenge. On Tuesday, September 18, from 6 to 8 p.m, we’re making it easy for you—offering two delectable cuisines to choose from in one night—at the Spain vs. France Wine Tasting. Now the only question to answer is... Spanish? Or French?
This epic culinary event, taking place at favorite French bistro Mon Ami Gabi, will host Café Ba-Ba-Reeba chef Andrew Shedden as he squares off against Mon Ami Gabi’s executive chef Bruce Williams in a foodie fight not to be missed. Guests should come prepared to make some tough decisions as they sample some of the best culinary creations that Spain and France have to offer with passed appetizers including Mushroom Crostini, savory Braised Beef Short Ribs, Smoked Ham and Cheese Crepes with Pickled Vegetables, Plantain and Chorizo Date Bites and Housemade Txistorra Sausage Pintxos, to name a few. While deciding which chef will reign supreme, guests can sip their way through the regions of each country, savoring a variety of French and Spanish wines along the way.
Cost is $25 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Guests are encouraged to call Mon Ami Gabi Oak Brook at 630-472-1900 for more information and to make reservations.
