At 7:00 p.m. Saturday May 19, the
handbell choirs of First United Methodist Church present their Spring Ring XX
Concert, “A Carillon of Colors”
Directed by Patricia Barnes, the
ensembles continue to be highly sought for outside engagements. Annually they
appear in the West Towns Chorus Christmas Extravaganza at the Tivoli Theater,
and in the ballroom of Symphony Centre for the Chicago Symphony’s Christmas
Concert Series.

The Ringers of First
United Methodist Church lead us through a wide variety of handbell literature
from Promised Land to The Angel Gabriel, from to Catch the Spirit to Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel, to Over the Rainbow. Also featured will be
Mackenzie Martin, outstanding marimba soloist.
Tickets are $7 in advance; $9 at the door.
