Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint On Easter In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Casey's Mobil gas station in Downers Grove was robbed at gunpoint early Easter morning, police say.

Officers were called to the store at 2181 West 63rd Street around 4:45 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery. A man went into the gas station and used a handgun to demand cash. Once he got the proceeds from the robbery, he fled on foot, police say.

The suspect was described as a Black man between the ages of 35 and 45 years old, standing six feet, one inch tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket with a hood trimmed in tan fur, white boots and a dark mask that concealed most of his face.
