Gas Stolen, Business Burglarized: Downers Grove Crime Blotter

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Gas was stolen from a resident's truck and a Fairview Mart was burglarized, according to the most recent crime blotter from the village of Downers Grove.

Gas Stolen from Truck in 1500 block of Bolson Drive

A resident told police they believe someone stole 50 gallons of gasoline from their truck while it was parked in a driveway in the 1500 block of Bolson Drive. Police say the resident last filled the truck's gas tank on May 10. When he tried to start the truck on May 30, he noticed the gas gauge was on "empty."

According to the resident, there were no signs of fuel runoff or damage to his gas tank.

Fairview Mart Burglarized

Police say someone burglarized Fairview Mart, 402 75th St., during the night of May 30. When police got to the scene, they noticed that it appeared someone had broken a hole in the glass of the store's front door.

The store manager told police that tobacco, e-cigarettes and CBD products had been stolen during the burglary.
