The road to victory has many lanes. Nobody knows this better than the athletes of South East Association of Special Parks and Recreation (SEASPAR) Special Olympics.
Hard work and determination over the last year has contributed to a sudden rise in monumental achievements. Just this month alone, two SEASPAR Special Olympics athletes placed 4th and 7th at a state-level competition after earning gold medals at regional tournament, an achievement not easily earned.
Their spotlight was well-deserved, but short-lived due in part by SEASPAR's Flag Football team and their monumental GOLD medal victory at last weekend's regional qualifier, a first in this sport for SEASPAR.

"I'm super excited for the team! We arrived expecting a day of fun, friends, and [flag] football and left with smiles on our faces and titles in tow" said Aaron Hirthe, SEASPAR's Inclusion Manager and Team SEASPAR's biggest fan.
The win qualifies team SEASPAR for the state competition held in November. Regardless of the outcome, one thing is curtain, this community is proud of every single amazing Special Olympics athlete that represents the community on and off the field. Best of luck to all the athletes!
