Gold Rating Earned By Grove Children's Preschool For 9th Year In A Row
The Illinois State Board of Education recently gave Grove Children's Preschool its highest distinction for the ninth consecutive year.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — For the ninth year in a row, Grove Children's Preschool has earned a gold rating from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). This is ISBE's highest rating and is given after a school is audited during visits.
“Earning the Gold Star rating for eight consecutive years is a testament to the passion and hard work that defines our preschool staff,” Preschool Coordinator Susan Dillon said in a statement.
Dillon added, “We are deeply committed to nurturing young learners, encouraging their curiosity and promoting social and emotional growth."

ISBE's rating focuses on staff qualifications, program administration, professional development and other priorities, according to a news release from Downers Grove Grade School District 58.
The students at Grove Children's Preschool attend classes at Henry Puffer and Indian Trail Elementary Schools. Classes are made up of students with special needs, at-risk students and tuition students, with focused programs offered to meet the needs of some special needs students.

Dillon concluded, “I am so proud of how our staff goes above and beyond every day to create an atmosphere where children feel safe, valued and respected. This in turn empowers them to explore the world around them."
