Gran Centenario Recipes

Gran Centenario® Tequila is Mexico’s #1 super-premium tequila. It has been carrying on Mexican traditions and heritage for more than a century. The creation of Gran Centenario® Tequila begins by selecting and harvesting the best quality Tequilana Weber Blue Agaves. Expert jimadores handpick the agaves that have reached full maturity to ensure that the plants have the best physical characteristics and sugar content to meet required standards. The hearts of the agaves are then cooked in traditional masonry furnaces for two days before extracting the juices needed for fermentation. Gran Centenario® uses two slow distillations in order to preserve all the characteristics obtained throughout the fermentation process. Tangerine Chile Gran Paloma

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Gran Centenario® Añejo Tequila
  • 2 oz Fresh Tangerine Juice
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Chile de Árbol Agave Syrup
  • Seltzer Water
  • Garnish: Salt Rim

Method:
Rim double rocks glass with salt. Add ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into glass over fresh ice. Top with seltzer water and garnish with a tangerine slice.

Grapefruit Mimosa
Developed by James Beard Award winning chef Pati Jinich, this recipe is a refreshing twist on the classic cocktail

Ingredients:

  • "Piquetito" of Gran Centenario Plata Tequila
  • 4 oz Prosecco
  • 2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
  • 0.5 oz Honey
  • Garnish: Grapefruit Wedge

Method:
Pour chilled prosecco into a wine glass. Dissolve honey into chilled grapefruit juice and then slowly pour over prosecco. Top it off with a "Piquetito" (about .5 oz) of Gran Centenario Plata tequila and apply garnish.

Watermelon Grape Margarita
Developed by James Beard Award winning chef Pati Jinich, this recipe is a refreshing twist on the classic cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Gran Centenario Plata Tequila
  • 2 cups Frozen Watermelon
  • 2 cups Frozen Red Seedless Grapes
  • 3/4 cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 cup Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup Ice
  • 2 slices Seeded Jalapeño or Serrano Chile (Optional)
  • Garnish: Lime Wedge and Red Grapes

Method:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with lime wedge and fresh red grapes. Recipe serves 4.

Agave Rush

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Maestro Dobel Diamante
  • ¾ oz. Lemon Juice
  • ½ oz. Agave Nectar
  • 2 Dashes Pomegranate Bitters
  • Pinch of Salt

Method:
Shake and strain over large ice rock in double old fashioned glass. Garnish with dehydrated lemon wheel.

Tequila Mule

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Maestro Dobel Humito
  • ¾ Ginger Syrup
  • ¾ oz Lime Juice
  • 4 oz Soda Water
  • Mint Sprig
