Great Snacks

And beverages!

1. “Confetti Snacks” – a line of veggie chips that ditch the deep fryer but deliver nutrients, crunch, color and flavor galore. While traveling the world, founder Betty Lu (an entrepreneur from Singapore) was frustrated in her search for a healthy, great-tasting, but lightweight snack to fuel her backpacking adventures. She found the answer in “imperfect produce” – the ones that are considered unsellable due to irregular shape, size or other visual anomalies. (A shocking 40% of fruits and vegetables end up in landfills each year..) So Lu decided to upcycle some of these “misfits,” slicing them up, and then transforming them into one of the most nutrient-dense and crunchy, delicious snacks on the planet. Confetti Snacks are minimally processed and never deep-fried, unlike other veggie chips, and extruded “puff” style snacks. Because they are baked using a low heat method, the nutrients – and the beautiful colors of the carrots, radishes, purple sweet potatoes and mushrooms in the mix – remain vibrant. But it’s not just about delivering health dividends and looking good. Confetti Snacks are infused with authentic spices and flavors inspired by Lu’s native Singapore and international travels. Veggie chip flavors include Green Curry, Tandoori Curry, Teriyaki BBQ and Summer Truffle. Mushroom chip flavors include Green Curry, Tandoori Curry and Black Truffle.

2. Lifevine Wines: There are over 60 FDA-approved wine additives for winemaking, and wine brands are NOT required to put ingredients on their label. At Lifevine, they have nothing to hide… and more to love. Lifevine is one of the first wines to list both serving facts and ingredients on the bottle. They believe in providing you the transparency you deserve so that you can make the best choices about what you put in your body. Lifevine is sourced from select growers in the Sierra Nevada bench lands east of the San Francisco Delta. The local climate is warm and the soils are a well-drained combination of decomposed granite, sandy loam and clay. These conditions provide a perfect environment particularly for the red varietals like Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah, which are used in Lifevine’s Cabernet and Red blends. All of the grape varietals they harvest are grown under organic conditions and harvested at the peak of ripeness with an eye towards keeping alcohol levels modest. The focus is on making minimal intervention wines that are fresh and flavorful and can be consumed without the worry that they contain any harmful chemicals, toxins or pesticides.
Varietals include Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Red Blend, Blanc de Blanc and California Chardonnay. (Range is $21.99 - $29.99). Lifevine is lab tested for purity, and committed to label transparency. And it tastes AMAZING!

3. RDCL Superfoods (pronounced “radical”) - a vegan new healthy, vitamin-packed line of beverages giving ordinary drinks new “superpowers” with all plant-based ingredients and zero added sugar, all while making them healthier, tastier, more ethical and sustainable! Radical Elements Superfood Blends is a powdered boost that is simply mixed into water, creating a functional beverage with immunity support and other benefits. There are two delicious flavors – Passion Fruit, which helps boost focus and energy, and Dragon Fruit Superberry, which helps alleviate stress and anxiety. Ingredients include a blend of antioxidant superfruits, hydrating coconut water, vitamins, minerals and botanicals. With only 1 gram of sugar and 10-15 carbs per serving, these blends are a healthy and delicious way to hydrate while getting essential nutrients.
