The Grove Foundation Golf Outing a Success
The Grove Foundation, a not-for-profit organization supports community programs that promotes educational &recreational experiences.

The Grove Foundation held its 26th Annual Golf Outing and Fundraiser on Saturday, September 8th, at the historic Downers Grove Park District Golf Course. This event is the major fundraiser for The Grove Foundation, a small not-for-profit organization that supports community programs promoting educational, recreational and community experiences. A total number of 97 golfers and guests participated in the outing, which included a 9 hole scramble, golf contests, prizes and dinner. The golf prize winners were: Low Medal Champions - Matt Herbeck, Ed Herbeck, Matt Corcoran and Don Davies; Low Medal Runner-up – Mike Kunze, Brian Kunze, Matt Neustadt and Joe Grossestreuer; Jim & Judy Russ Putting Contest Champions – Scott Miller, Mary Miller, Ken Sullivan and Beth Sullivan; Score Prediction Winners – Dan Cermak, Bob Gelwicks, John Keys and Gary Wonsowski; Low Net Champions – Donna Knoble, Jenny Kepler and Tess Ho; Longest Drive Winners – Gail Sandine & Matt Herbeck; Closest to the Pin Winners – Tiffany Berger & Ed Johnson. The Grove Foundation would like to thank the golfers, Downers Grove Park District golf course staff, community donors/sponsors and special guests. Our 2019 27th Annual Golf Outing & Fundraiser will be held next year on September 7th.
