Gun, Ammo Stolen During Car Burglary In Downers Grove: Blotter

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A handgun and ammunition were stolen from a car and catalytic converters were stolen, per the most recent Downers Grove police blotter.

Car Burglarized in 2100 block of Prentiss Drive

Police say a 9 mm handgun, 17 rounds of ammunition and a laptop computer were stolen during a car burglary in the 2100 block of Prentiss Drive. The incident took place sometime between 5:54 p.m. and 5:58 p.m. on Dec. 2.

Catalytic Converter Stolen from Car at Holiday Inn Express, 3031 Finley Rd.

A catalytic converter was cut from a Honda CRV that was parked in a lot at the Holiday Inn Express at 3031 Finley Rd., according to the police blotter. The theft took place sometime between 11:15 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 5. The catalytic converter was valued at $1,000.

Catalytic Converter Stolen from Car at Kohl's, 2920 Finley Rd.

Police say a catalytic converter was removed from a Honda CRV that was parked at the Kohl's at 2920 Finley Rd. The incident happened sometime between 12:01 p.m. and 4:44 p.m. on Dec. 4, the police blotter indicated. The stolen part was valued at $1500.
