Herrick Team Masters Math, Takes 2nd Place In State

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Seventh- and Eighth-grade math students at Herrick Middle School places second from a group of 60 teams in the 2023 Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) State Contest.

In total, the Herrick team, made up of advanced math class students, earned 118 points, just shy of a perfect score of 120.

Herrick's team one scored a perfect 20 points and is made up of Reece H., Mathew J., Philip M., Nicole L. and Olivia T.

Team two scored 18 out of 20 and was made up of Elijah S. Max G., Lucas D. and Raymond C.

Competitors from Herrick also shined in the individual contests. These students made the top 10 among students at Herrick Middle school based on their exam scores:
