Howl-O-Ween returns to Great Wolf Lodge
With new themed suites and plenty of treats for the whole family!
CHICAGO (September, 2023) – Great Wolf Lodge is bringing a spooky season touch to its resorts in celebration of the most haunting time of the year, Howl-O-Ween. Beginning September 28, 2023, families can join the pumpkin pack with a wide variety of seasonal festivities across all 19 U.S. lodges, designed to get every member of the family into the Halloween spirit. Guests visiting Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls can also partake in the celebration beginning October 14. This year’s spooktacular event will include the family favorite Trick-Or-Treat Trail, Monster Bash Dancy Party, Howl-O-Ween crafts and trivia, and, new this year at select resorts, a first-of-its kind Pumpkin Spice-themed guest suite.
During Howl-O-Ween, families at all Great Wolf Lodge resorts can expect to be transported into an autumn paradise the moment they enter the Grand Lobby. The lodge is decked out with corn stalks, hay bales, red and brown leaves, gourds, and other cozy fall décor to celebrate the color changing season. Resorts in Perryville, Md., Grapevine, Texas and Gurnee, Ill. will feature larger-than-life, not-so-spooky, Halloween creatures made entirely of balloons.
But the fall fun doesn’t stop there, Great Wolf Lodge is also bringing back its Trick-Or-Treat Trail, where kids can don costumes and visit elaborately themed trick-or-treat stops throughout the resort. As families navigate the trail, they will be given swag and candy along the way, along with photo opportunities with their favorite Great Wolf Lodge characters. The trail leads to the grand lobby, with a final chance for guests to grab some goodies, including a trick-or-treat stop that features non-food treats for those with allergies.

- Howl-O-Ween Mini-Events: Boo Bingo where five in a row is a bingo and yelling “boo” is the winning lingo. Howl-O-Ween Trivia will challenge families on their knowledge of Halloween myths, legends, lore, and traditions.
Families visiting lodges in Gurnee, Ill.; Grapevine, Texas; LaGrange, Ga.; Pocono Mountains, Pa; and Garden Grove, Calif. can immerse themselves in the sensation of the season with a stay in the elaborately themed Pumpkin Spice Suite, which features warm and welcoming fall décor designed to transport guests into a scenic autumn scape. Those staying in the suite will receive bottomless pumpkin spice coffee products from the coffee shop at the lodge and a daily amenity service that includes warm buns with pumpkin cream cheese frosting.
