"Have you been struggling lately? I look around at our communities and hear as well as see discrimination rearing its ugly face. I watch a gridlock in our state government as people with mental disabilities and addictions all program funding cut are now out and on their own. Whatever your political stances as a leader in the body of Christ I ask, where will they go? Government corruption, finger pointing, name calling and smear campaigns on both sides of the aisle are prevalent while people struggle, suffer and look for answers. There are so many in our world; our neighbors and our friends who are hurting, scared, afraid… Now is the time to be the body that we have only begun to realize. Now is the time to be brave. Now is the time to have courage and to be different in Christ. Now is the time to shine.

This Easter we proclaim Christ Risen not as a tag line, but as a reality that changes who we are and how we see the world. We proclaim as a people that we will not cower to darkness nor be defined by fear because we serve an amazing God whose love is unstoppable and grace is immeasurable. Easter is where the promises of God walk out of the grave and into our lives. If you hope for a better world, if you pray for a different tomorrow, come join us in celebration. Come see how the Spirit is moving here at First Congregational United Church of Christ. Come, be transformed by the one who still rolls away stones from the empty places of our lives. Easter Sunday 6am Sunrise Service
9am traditional service
11am contemporary service
