Items Stolen From Harbor Freight, Car Burglarized In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Items were stolen from Harbor Freight, a car was burglarized and other crimes were reported on most recent Downers Grove crime blotter.

Car Burglarized in 4200 Block of Saratoga Avenue

A woman told police that someone stole the handicap placard from her car while it was parked in a lot outside her home in the 4200 block of Saratoga Avenue. Police say the woman reported having locked her car before the incident, which took place sometime between 9 p.m. on May 22 and 4:38 p.m. on May 23.

Items Stolen from Harbor Freight

According to police, two men came into the Harbor Freight store at 1640 75th St. and stole several items by placing them in a cart and leaving through the emergency exit. The following items were reported stolen:

• Titanium TIG welder
• Power probe electrical circuit tester
• Hercules 12 AMP variable speed fixed base router with plunge base kit
• Titanium MIG 140 welder

The total amount of the stolen items as $1,619.36.

Truck Damaged in near Branding Avenue and Sheldrup Street

Someone broke a window and damaged the air break chambers on a truck while it was near the intersection of Branding Avenue and Sheldrup Street. The incident took place sometime around 11:28 p.m.
