A new perspective in eyewear!

Clare was home wearing a pair of glasses while watching Bernard Lowe on Westworld and noticed his glasses were terrible as he was always fiddling with them. She was doing the same thing and came to the conclusion that she had never found glasses to fit her well. She thought it was just her. But the sisters continued to share their experience with family and friends, and it became evident that there was more to the story and a market to create frames that fit perfectly for people with lower or wider bridges. They realized black people weren’t being catered to in the eyewear industry, so the idea for Kimeze came from a real need.

Kimeze offers a new perspective on eyewear. It’s a British brand with core values of statement style, everyday versatility, and exceptional quality. Each collection is handmade in Italy and deeply inspired by London, Africa, and the importance of imagination in helping us envision our complex selves. It combines expert craftsmanship, innovative design, and luxurious materials to produce a world-first lineup of sunglasses and eyewear.

Founded by British-Uganda sisters Clare and renowned artist Christina Kimeze, their goal is to revolutionize the eyewear industry by creating frames that fit black and brown nose bridges after they noticed a gap in the market through their research. The eyewear is handcrafted in small batches in Italy. This sustainable brand is a collection of fashion-forward frames. With colors designed to complement a diverse range of skin tones, the glasses come in three shapes: the Cat Eye, the Metal, and the Oval. While their main focus is on the black and brown communities, their eyewear can be for the majority of people who have these features. They are currently a top seller on Net-A-Porter .
