The Little Lighthouse Foundation announces upcoming programs for July

The Little Lighthouse Foundation is the renowned and beloved non-profit organization that assists with underserved children and families throughout South Florida. The goals of the Little Lighthouse Foundation is to bring smiles, impactful experiences to the underprivileged youth of South Florida, and create accessible and diverse volunteer opportunities for those actively looking to donate their time.

Activity Hour with Joseph Hamam at Chapman Partnership!
Experience games, role playing, interactive activities, and arts and crafts for a great cause
The Little Lighthouse Foundation's Activity Hour gives volunteers and youth alike the opportunity to develop essential team building and communication skills while having a great time along the way. Activity Hour incorporates games, role playing, interactive activities, and arts and crafts to teach professional and self development, and build self esteem and confidence along the way. Volunteers build relationships with the youth while assisting and participating in the planned activities during the program.

Chapman Partnership for the Homeless
The Chapman Partnership houses homeless families with children, who are actively seeking employment, for up to 90 days. Children (of all ages) in the facility attend public school during their stay and participate in after-school activities in the Chapman Partnership resource center.

Move & Groove with Carol Curry at the Motivational Edge!
Kick off the weekend with a dance class like no other
The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s (“LLF”) Move & Groove is a dance program and is hosted at the Motivational Edge.
LLF’s Move and Groove consists of a dance class format and provides a space for self expression for children of all ages while encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Volunteers assist in the dance classes and ensure the children learn the routines and have a great time! Previous dance experience is not required to participate.

Experience a mindfulness and yoga program
The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s (“LLF”) Mindful Hour is a mindfulness and yoga program hosted at Touching Miami With Love. LLF’s Mindful Hour welcomes the teens of Touching Miami With Love to find a moment of peace and reorient themselves while learning practical de-stressing techniques. Volunteers participate alongside the youth and help them remain engaged and focused on the activity at hand.
