Louis Vuitton Purse Stolen, Wallet Swiped: Downers Grove Police

A Louis Vuitton purse was stolen, a wallet was swiped, and other incidents were reported on the most recent Downers Grove police blotter.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A patio table was taken from outside a restaurant, a wallet was stolen at the YMCA and other incidents were reported on Downers Grove's July 19 crime blotter.

Wallet Stolen from Indian Boundary YMCA

Police say someone stole a blue drawstring bag that contained a wallet and other items from the Indian Boundary YMCA at 711 59th St., Downers Grove. The incident took place sometime between 6 p.m. and 7:54 p.m. on July 15. The owner of the bag told police it contained car keys and a wallet with a driver's license and debit and credit cards inside.

Bike Stolen Near Main Street Metra Station

A resident told police someone stole their Jamis Trail-X bicycle from a bike rack just west of the Main Street Metra station on July 16. Police say the victim locked their bike on the rack at around 12:45 a.m. and returned at 3 p.m. to find the chain had been cut, and the bicycle had been stolen. The bike was valued at $1,000.

Package Containing Louis Vuitton Purse Stolen

A package containing a Louis Vuitton purse was stolen from outside a home in the 7400 block of Winwood Way. A resident told police they were notified the $2,550 purse had been delivered on June 30, but came home to find the package missing.

Patio Table Stolen from Pinecone Cottage Tea House

A round patio table valued at $250 was stolen from Pinecone Cottage Tea House, police say. The owner told police the table was taken from outside their shop 1029 Burlington Ave. sometime between 8 p.m. on July 15 and 11 a.m. on July 16.

Police are urging anyone with information about these incidents to call the Downers Grove Police Department at 630-434-5600.
