Lurie Children's To Hold Public Meeting In Downers Grove
The meeting comes as Lurie Children's plans to open its first inpatient location outside of the city in Downers Grove.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Lurie Children's will host a public meeting in Downers Grove. The event will give community members an opportunity to ask questions, share feedback and learn more about the community-based pediatric hospital Lurie is building in Downers Grove.
Lurie President and CEO Dr. Tom Shanley will be at the event, as will a patient family from the hospital. The meeting is planned for 6 p.m. on March 12 at DoubleTree Hotel, 2111 Butterfield Rd.
Representatives will share details about the Downers Grove project and its location.

The new community-based pediatric hospital will be Lurie Children's first inpatient location outside of Chicago. The low-acuity care hospital will include an emergency department, inpatient beds, surgical suites and dedicated departments for cardiology, oncology and other specializations.
