Man, 45, Killed In House Fire In Downers Grove
The fatal fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. in the 6600 block of Dunham Road.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A 45-year-old man is dead after a fire broke out in a home in the 6600 block of Dunham Downers Grove last week.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 9:24 p.m. on Jan. 14 and arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from inside the house. They entered the home to find the sole occupant near the front door. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The home was deemed to be uninhabitable after the blaze. The DuPage County Fire Investigation Task Force and the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal are assisting Downers Grove Fire Department in an investigation in the cause of the fire.
