New Assistant Superintendent For Learning Resources Named For District 99
Dr. Amanda Brode-Rico will begin her role as the district's assistant superintendent for learning resources on July 1.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Community High School District 99 has named a new assistant superintendent for learning resources. Dr. Amanda Brode-Rico will take over the role starting July 1, replacing the outgoing assistant superintendent for learning, Travis McGuire.
Brode-Rico comes to District 99 from Elmwood Park High School, where she currently works as the school's principal. Prior to her role as principal, Brode-Rico worked as an athletic director, a teacher leader and assistant principal.
She earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education and teaching, a masters degree in educational policy studies before getting her doctorate degree in education at University of Illinois.

In a statement on Brode-Rico's appointment, District 99 Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele said, "I am confident that Amanda will bring strong leadership, operational clarity, and a student-centered perspective to this role. She will provide immediate value to the district’s leadership team as we continue advancing our work across facilities, technology, safety, and district resources."
Brode-Rico said she is "honored and excited" to take on the new role.
