New Downers Grove ALDI To Host Grand Opening

DOWNERS GROVE, IL --- Downers Grove residents used to have to travel to Darien or Westmont to go to ALDI, but that's about to change when the village's first ALDI store opens in early November. The store, located at 28 W. Ogden Ave., will host a grand opening on Nov. 1 with food samples, giveaways, and a chance to win a year of free produce.

Shoppers should get to the store by 8:25 a.m. if they want a chance to get gift cards, which will be handed out to the first 100 customers. Signature ALDI eats will be available for guests to snack on as they tour the new store.

The Downers Grove ALDI is part of the company's ongoing initiative to expand its footprint throughout the U.S. The company aims to add roughly 700 new stores by 2022, according to a press release.
