Members-Only Volunteer Workday
Frost Science Members are invited to join the MUVE team for a day of invasive species removal on Virginia Key. The Museum Volunteers for the Environment (MUVE) hosts monthly volunteer workdays for anyone who is passionate about restoring Miami’s natural environment, and on Saturday, February 4, Frost Science is making it special for members.
Members of Frost Science are invited for a members-only workday to get to know the Frost Science community while helping to make a difference in the environment. At this event, member volunteers will participate in two activities: nuisance invasive species removal and a beach cleanup. Capacity is limited and all participants must register by Thursday, February 2. Participants under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Participants under 18 years of age must have signed a waiver by parent or legal guardian.

Laser Evening
Rock out to Daft Punk, Bob Marley, and more under the Frost Planetarium’s 67-foot dome!
Join Frost Science as they combine legendary music with laser light visuals during Laser Evenings. Enjoy the Symphony of the Stars with family, chill out with Bob Marley, move to the beat with Daft Punk, and more, all under the Frost Planetarium’s 67-foot dome. Bring your friends and come early before your laser show experience. Refreshments and light snacks will be available for purchase in the Main Atrium until 10 p.m.

Mini-Me Science: Loving Hands (AM)/ Mini-Me Science: Loving Hands (PM)
Join Frost Science for an out-of-this-world adventure!
Join Frost Science on Sunday, February 12 for the latest edition of the museum’s Mini-Me Science program, developed for children ages two to five to share experiences that engage the senses while promoting exploration and discovery through hands-on activities that are specifically designed for early learners. Your heart will melt with this cool science experience! Explore the freezing and melting points of water through a tactile sensory activity tailored for little learners. Children will learn to use tools, such as a pipette, to melt a special piece of ice and explore the wonders of water. Mini-Me Science sessions last approximately 60 minutes, with a 30-minute hands-on activity followed by a 30- minute guided museum exploration in one of our exhibitions. All children must be accompanied by an adult (maximum of two adults per child).

Technology and Engineering Day
Explore the technology of the future and innovative engineering at Frost Science
Join Frost Science for Technology and Engineering Day on Saturday, March 4 as the museum celebrates National Engineers Week and World Engineering Day. Learn about the future of technology and engineering directly from local scientists and engineers. Guests will even be able to test out some cutting-edge gadgets! Don’t miss a chance to be on the cutting edge of innovation. While guests await the big day, they can check out Frost Science’s Power of Science exhibition highlighting how engineers and scientists are working together in groundbreaking scientific innovations. This year’s Technology and Engineering Day is generously supported by the Glenn W. Bailey Foundation

Join Frost Science for a colorful science adventure!
Join Frost Science for the latest edition of the museum’s Mini-Me Science program, developed for children ages two to five to share experiences that engage the senses while promoting exploration and discovery through hands-on activities that are specifically designed for early learners. Children will learn about the science behind rainbows through a hands-on luminescent experience. They will use colorful tools and magical methods to make rainbows while exploring the light waves that create them. Mini-Me Science sessions last approximately 60 minutes, with a 30-minute hands-on activity followed by a 30-minute guided museum exploration in one of our exhibitions. All children must be accompanied by an adult (maximum of two adults per child).

Spring Camp: Destination Excavation
Discover the answers to all of your paleontology questions with real scientists working in the field! Spring into science and join Frost Science for a week-long camp while school is on break. Explore the museum, see a planetarium show, and learn about interesting facts on how the Earth has changed over time, how are fossils prepared, and what the world was like when dinosaurs roamed! Step into the role of junior paleontologist as attendees uncover the mysteries of Earth’s prehistoric past and explore the museum’s Ultimate Dinosaurs special exhibition. It’s sure to be a DINO-mite time!
WHEN: Monday, March 20, 2023 through Friday, March 24, 2023; 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., after care is available from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and is included in the cost of camp.
