DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove residents recently discovered a burglar inside their house, according to village's most recent police blotter.
Officers were called to a home in the 5100 block of Main Street around 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 26 for a report of a burglary in progress. Police say the resident told them she noticed a chair had been moved in the kitchen and dishes had been removed from the sink and put on the counter.
The resident then noticed the bathroom door was closed with the light on, the blotter said. She then alerted her husband, who found a woman in the bathroom.
