DOWNERS GROVE, IL — No one was hurt when shots were fired during a domestic incident in Downers Grove Friday morning, police say.

Officers were called to a home in the 5700 block of Walnut Avenue just after 5:45 a.m. According to police, a man and a woman who knew each other were involved in the incident, which was part of a "domestic altercation." The man fired gunshots before fleeing the area, a news release said.

Police believe the incident was isolated. As of Friday afternoon, no charges had been filed and no one was in custody. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Downers Grove Police Detective Johnson at 630-434-5686.
