Sisul Named Assistant Superintendent Of Personnel For District 58

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Justin Sisul was recently named Assistant Superintendent of Personnel for Downers Grove Grade School District 58.

Sisul has worked for District 58 for more than 20 years, most recently as the district's assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction.

“I am very pleased to recommend Mr. Sisul to the assistant superintendent for personnel position," District 58 Superintendent Dr. Kevin Russell said in a statement.

Sisul's appointment was approved Jan. 9.

Dr. Russell added, "We interviewed many strong candidates during a thorough interview process, and Mr. Sisul stood out as the most qualified for the position. Interview teams described Mr. Sisul as knowledgeable, dedicated, driven, enthusiastic and positive. Mr. Sisul has successfully led several key initiatives in our District, which the committee also highlighted. We are confident that Mr. Sisul will excel in his new role!"

Sisul began his current role at District 58 in 2017. Prior to that, he was principal of Pierce Downer School and assistant principal at Lester School. He also taught music and choir at Herrick Middle School and was recognized as District 58's Teacher of the Year by Downers Grove Elementary Education Association in 2006.

In a news release, Sisul remarked, "It’s been a privilege to work in District 58 for my entire career, and I am honored and excited to continue to serve my community in this new role."

Sisul takes over the mantle from Dr. Jayne Yudzentis, who will retire at the end of the 2022-23 school year after 22 years with District 58.
