Steak 'n Shake Burglarized In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police say someone broke into the Steak 'n Shake store on Ogden Avenue in late August.

Officers were called to the restaurant at 1520 Ogden Ave. around 8:40 a.m. on Aug. 25 for a report of a burglary.

A manager came into the store the previous evening to make a night deposit and found the cash compartments of the store's automated kiosks had been damaged. Police say the manager also found the credit card machine by the drive-thru was on the restaurant's floor and that the window of the drive through was propped open.

The burglary took place sometime between 11 p.m. on Aug. 24 and 8:40 a.m. on Aug. 25.
