Substitute Teachers Sought In Downers Grove For Upcoming School Year
District 99 is holding an open house on June 14 as it seeks substitute teachers and other staff members for the 2023-24 school year.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — District 99 is seeking substitute teachers, paraprofessionals and other roles to for the 2023-24 school year. An open house will be held at Downers Grove South on June 14.
Attendees can watch presentations by a substitute teacher and a paraprofessional and talk with district representatives. A tour of Downers Grove South will also be conducted.
“These positions are critical ones for us to deliver outstanding care and education to our students, and we encourage anyone who might be interested to come out and learn more,” District 99 Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele said in a news release. "Our competitive pay and benefits demonstrate our strong commitment to hiring and retaining high-quality staff members."

To work as a substitute or guest teacher at District 99 schools, applicants must have a college degree. The role pays $180 per day.

- Paraprofessionals: $20 hourly
- Job coaches: $22 hourly
Eligible candidates will be paid during their training.
