Teen On Electric Motorcycle Flees Traffic Stop In Downers Grove: Cops
Police say a juvenile riding an electronic motorcycle fled a traffic stop Monday afternoon.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A juvenile riding an electronic motorcycle fled a traffic stop initiated by police in Downers Grove Monday afternoon, according to a police report.
A police officer was parked in the lot at Downers Grove North High School around 1:15 p.m. when what police described as an "electronic motorcycle" with two juveniles on it drove into the lot.
The driver then headed north "at a high rate of speed" and got onto Sherman Street, where they disobeyed a stop sign before turning onto Highland Avenue, per the police report.

The officer reported that he turned on his siren and emergency lights, then saw one of the people on the bike look back at him before the driver continued down Highland, disobeying a stop sign near Grant Avenue.
The driver eventually turned onto Lincoln Avenue before the officer lost sight of him.
