Vince Neil To Headline Oktoberfest In Downers Grove
The Motley Crue singer will headline the annual fest, which includes a bratwurst eating contest, German polka music and more.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Motley Crue singer Vince Neil will be making a stop in Downers Grove in September to headline the village's annual Oktoberfest. Neil's Sept. 14 performance will close out the two-day festival, which features a bratwurst eating contest, authentic German beer, polka music and more.
Neil, who is known for such hits at "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Shout At the Devil," will take the stage at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, following a day packed with performances. Other performers include ARRA, Tina Messmer-King and North of Eight.
The festival will celebrate the arrival of fall by embracing German culture and cuisine. Be sure to bring your appetite, so you can feast on bratwurst, potato pancakes, German ale and other traditional treats.

Kids can have their own brand of fun at the Oktoberfest Kids' Zone. The special kids section features a donut eating contest, karaoke contest and other age-appropriate activities.

Friday, Sept. 13 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
$10 for adults, $5 for seniors 55 and older and for teens 14 to 17 years old; Free admission for kids to 13 years of age with paying adult and for volunteers and active military with ID.
Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
All ticket prices listed above are in effect until 6 p.m., when general admission increases to $25 for all ages; evening tickets sold on a first come, first served basis
Funds from Oktoberfest will benefit Downers Grove Grade School District 58.
