Wine, Vodka, Whiskey Stolen From Binny's In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Two retail theft incidents were recently reported at the Binny's store in Downers Grove, according to the village's crime blotter for late September and early October.

The first incident took place around 1:22 p.m. on Sept. 23. Police say a man came into the store and filled a basket with three bottles of Tito's vodka and one bottle of Glendalough whiskey and left the store without paying. The total loss was listed at $195.96.

On Oct. 4, a man and woman entered Binny's around 11:46 a.m. and put four bottles of Georges de Latour Cabernet Sauvignon in a cart, per the crime blotter. Police say the pair went up the aisle and the woman hid the bottles in a pouch under her shirt. The man and woman made a small purchase and left the store without paying for the wine, which was valued at a total of $620.
