Spring 2026 Kids College Programs at Elgin Community College
ECC's Kids College camps and programs have a new offering this spring and summer: a Chicago Fire youth soccer camp.
Elgin Community College (ECC) will offer a range of Kids College camps and programs for children and teens during Spring 2026, including new offerings and returning programs focused on sports, STEM learning, and safety education.
One new offering is a Chicago Fire youth soccer camp on ECC’s soccer field. The camp includes three age-based sessions for children ages 4–5, 6–11, and 12–16. Chicago Fire coaches will lead instruction, focusing on age-appropriate soccer fundamentals and skill development.
On Saturday, April 25, ECC will also host Chicago Fire Soccer Clinics for the following age groups:

- Ages 4-11: 9-10 am ($5)
- Ages 12–16: 10–11 am ($5)
Participants will receive an official camp jersey and take part in a Chicago Fire matchday experience at a home game, including on-field activities and interactions with team representatives.
Soccer camp is scheduled from June 22 to 25.

Camp sessions include:
● Ages 4-5: 12-1 pm ($80)
● Ages 6-11: 9 am-12 pm ($140)
● Ages 12-16: 1-4 pm ($140)

ECC will also offer Babysitting Essentials, a two-day safety course for teens ages 12–16. The program covers topics such as child development, safety practices, nutrition, emergency response, and basic business skills related to babysitting. Upon completion, participants earn American Heart Association certification in CPR and First Aid, along with a course completion certificate. The course runs Friday, May 1, through Saturday, May 2, from 9 am–2:30 pm, and costs $165.
Additional Kids College programming includes the Summer STEAM Adventure Program, designed for children ages 5–17. The program features short and multi-day sessions covering topics such as creative arts, science, robotics, cooking, and engineering.
“Both of my kids have taken Kids’ College at ECC,” said Elissa Kojarek, ECC’s director of strategic partnerships & experiential learning. “These sessions allow them to explore their interests in a smaller setting. My younger son was interested in art, and the Kids’ College classes let him explore that without committing to a long-term activity. The affordability and short-term options allow them to explore multiple interests, try new things, and give them a creative outlet.”
