75 New Trees to be Planted in Elmhurst Parks

The Elmhurst Park District will plant 75 new trees this year, including 15 in York Commons.

ELMHURST, IL - The Elmhurst Park District will plant 75 new trees this year, according to a release. This year's planting also includes 15 new trees at York Commons to replace some of the trees that were previously removed due to the York Commons storm water maintenance project.

In February, the Park District approved a bid of $25,671 to plant the 75 new trees throughout Elmhurst parks.

The park district said they plant new trees every year, some for general landscape, some for tree memorials and some to replace trees removed for maintenance needs.
