Back to School for Pythagoras Children's Academy

Parents, students, teachers and priests eagerly filed into the gymnasium of Pythagoras Children's Academy at The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Demetrios in Elmhurst on Wednesday, Aug. 24. Hugs were exchanged, high fives were in the air and the school year started with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and both the Greek and American National Anthems.

As students followed their teachers up to their classrooms, parents waved, blew kisses and continued taking pictures and video.

As school was in session, parents were invited to a Coffee Hour hosted by the Pythagoras Parent Organization, where they mingled and were able to meet parents and further develop friendships.
